About Us

The Infantrymans Muster began as an idea within the RAR Buddies facebook group, with the inaugural event held on the weekend of 22-23 November 2014 in secluded bushland, on private property, at Jimna, Queensland.

An organising committee was assembled each year to organise, plan, and arrange the finer points but the success of the event belongs to the attendees. The Regimental Brotherhood is alive and thrives at Muster. In 2016, the Muster Incorporated, so the Committee remains at 9 with 3 members each serving a 3 year tenure. Audited financial reports are posted on this site following the AGM each year. 2020 AGM was held online, due to COVID19.

With the disappearance of alll CoVid restrictions and Border Closures, the 2022 AGM was, again, able to go ahead "face-to-face" at the Nerang RSL and Memorial Club.

The Infantrymans Muster is an informal gathering of Infantrymen, with attendees picking their campsites on a first-come basis. Anything from a hootchie to a Winnebago is acceptable and the road in is easily accessible to standard 2 wheel drive vehicles and motorbikes. Towing a caravan? - No problem.

2023 Attendance Fees remain at: $130.00 for attendance and kit ( commemorative Shirt and Stubby Holder) if you get in early (CLOSES 1st SEPTEMBER), or $100.00 for attendance only. Spouses are $50.00 and guests are $100.00 (No kit for spouses nor guests). EVENT is proceeding under ZERO restrictions; Dinner and Breakfast is back, as is Pizza Friday. Entertainment will also be provided on at least the Saturday Night.

The inaugural event (2014) was very basic with nothing supplied, apart from Dinner and Breakfast, 2015 saw a band ( Shotgun ), Catered Dinner, a Hawaiian Night (with a great prize), and Grog Delivery. 2016, again, had a band, Catered Dinner, breakfast Roll and more. 2017 saw a one-man-band, Juzzie Smith and Café 343 in full swing, catered dinner and Sunday breakfast.

2018 saw us celebrate our 5th Birthday, at a new site, at Amamoor Creek; the home of The Gympie Country Music Muster. All who attended agreed the site is fantastic, especially the flush dunnies. The MBMMC did the daily catering, including Sunday Breakfast.

2019 again saw us at Amamoor - actually we are planning to be there until at least 2022. The Fires nearly had us cancelled but luckily, we have built a great rapport with Parks and Wildlife and we received a special exemption, due to our advanced planning and preparation. Swagman Spitroasts did dinner again, and for the first time, breakfast - we hope this will continue; MBMMC were unable to cater for us but Robin stepped up and did some snacks and the standard coffee run. This, too, should continue.

2020 was cancelled due to CoVid-19.

2021 proceeded under CoVid Restrictions - Qld residents only with no extras organised and fees credited, again, to 2022.

2022 was back to pre-CoVid normal, again at Amamoor. An extension was given, due to CoVid, so we are locked in to at least 2023. Swagman's again did Dinner and Breakfast and for the first time we had Pizza Friday. Robin was unavailable this year but is expected to return in 2023, for our 10th Birthday.

Officially, the event runs from Thursday to Sunday but courtesy of an arrangement we have with Qld Parks and Wildlife, you may arrive from Tuesday and stay until the following Monday.
